Dear Michael,

I am writing to thank you for the beautiful remodeling work you and your crew did on our difficult project, and in particular for the attention to detail you all paid. When you completed the job, we shook hands and told you that it had 'been a pleasure' -- a statement that was literally true, but which we never expected to make regarding a remodeling job!

When we purchased our 27-year-old waterfront home last October, we knew that it needed work, but not how much work. Some of the jobs we had you do -- removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, removing and refinishing all our "popcorn" ceilings, installing recessed lighting, rebuilding our deck -- was probably typical of work you do every day, and your crew did it quickly and professionally, leaving no mess. You said that you were good at the ceiling texture, and you were too modest! The ceilings, particularly where you had to transition from the dining room to the "orange peel" in the kitchen, now are totally uniform with the minimum texture and look fabulous.

I don't need to remind you of the surprises we ran into, including floors that sagged in different amounts in different places throughout the main floor; a sagging bedroom ceiling due to a missing truss; and angles that weren't square. But you also tackled these challenges with care and a wealth of experience, and were able to devise workable solutions to every problem.

We were particularly impressed with your work ethic and that of your crew, plus the fact that our job received your total attention until the work was completely finished. It was hard to believe (from our past experience with contractors) that you would arrive at our home at 7:30 every morning, and put in a full day's hard work until everything was done, but you did. We had the home beautiful for our first Christmas here, and can never thank you enough.

When you bid our job, you cautioned us against just accepting the lowest price we received. We heeded your advice, and are so glad that we did! For the quality of the work you did, the speed at which it was done, and the creative problem-solving, the cost of our remodeling was reasonable indeed.

We will call upon you and your crew again this Spring to do additional work on our home, and would recommend you without reservation to anyone. Thank you, Michael and crew!
